TNPSC Group VA 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released Notification No.16/2025 for the Combined Civil Services Examination – Group VA. This recruitment drive aims to fill 32 vacancy for the posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) and Assistant through recruitment by transfer.
You must be a current holder of the post of Junior Assistant or Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.

Selection And Exam Process
The selection will be based on a Written Examination followed by Certificate Verification and Counselling.
Written Examination Pattern
The exam will consist of two papers.
Both papers are descriptive in nature.
You must appear for both papers; absence in one will lead to disqualification.

Ranking & Final Selection
A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks in the written exam.
Candidates will be called for Onscreen Certificate Verification and Physical Certificate Verification in a specific ratio.
The final selection will be based on the rank after the counselling process.
How to Apply Online
One Time Registration (OTR): If you are not already registered, complete your OTR on the TNPSC portal (www.tnpscexams.in) by paying ₹150. This is valid for 5 years.
Apply Online: Log in using your OTR credentials and fill out the online application for Notification No.16/2025.
Upload Documents: You must upload self-attested copies of all required certificates, including:
Educational Degree Certificates/Mark Sheets.
Community Certificate (if applicable).
Service Qualification Certificate (in the prescribed format from Annexure-VI).
Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/HSC Mark Sheet).
Tamil Knowledge Certificate.
Recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per specifications.
Pay Examination Fee: The examination fee is ₹100. Pay it online via Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card/UPI.
Fee Exemption: Full exemption is available for SC, ST, SC(A), and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates. BC, BCM, and MBC/DC candidates have three free chances.
Submit & Note Number: After successful payment, note down your Application Number for future reference.
Correction Window: Use the Application Correction Window from 10th to 12th November 2025 to edit any details if needed.
