Pay Scale and Job Details
- Nature of Post: Group “C” (Engineering Cadre), Non-Gazetted
- Pay Matrix: Level-7
- Pay Scale: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 (Pay Band ₹9300-34800 + Grade Pay ₹4600)
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification (Essential):
A candidate must possess any one of the following:
- A Degree in Technology or Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Architecture from an Institute or institution established by law in India.
- A degree recognized by the Government as equivalent to the above.
- Equivalent Eligibility: A Master’s degree in any subject with a B.Tech/B.E. or B.Sc. Diploma.
Preferential Qualifications:
- Candidates who have served for a minimum of two years in the Territorial Army.
- Candidates who have obtained a “B” certificate from the N.C.C.
2. Age Limit (as of July 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than July 2, 1985, and not later than July 1, 2004.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC/Skilled Players/State Govt. Employees of UP: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs of UP: 3 years + period of service rendered in the Army
3. Domicile:
- Candidates must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh to avail of reservation and age relaxation benefits.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Single Written Examination.
Written Examination Structure:
- Paper-I: General Studies & General Hindi (Objective Type)
- Total Questions: 100 (75 from General Studies + 25 from General Hindi)
- Total Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative Marking: Yes, 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Paper-II: General Engineering & Technology (Conventional Type)
- Total Marks: 300
- Duration: 3 hours
- Question Pattern:
- Section-A: 05 Very Short Answer type questions (75 words each, 10 marks each)
- Section-B: 05 Short Answer type questions (150 words each, 20 marks each)
- Section-C: 05 Long Answer type questions (225 words each, 30 marks each)
Final Merit: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in both papers.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
