Eligibility for Nagaland Police Constable Recruitment 2025

1. Nationality & Domicile

  • Must be an Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland, belonging to any recognized Indigenous Naga Tribe.
  • Non-Indigenous applicants are not eligible.

2. Age Limit (as on 30th September 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 38 Years

3. Educational Qualification

  • For Backward Tribes: Must have passed Class 6 from NBSE or any other recognized board.
  • For Other Naga Tribes: Must have passed Class 8 from NBSE or any other recognized board.

4. District & Tribe-Wise Vacancies

  • Candidates must apply for one district only based on their tribe, as per the official Annexure-1.
  • The district-wise and tribe-wise vacancy breakdown is provided below. You can only appear for tests in your chosen district.

Medical Fitness

  • Candidates will be tested for Eyesight, Colour Vision, Varicose Veins, Flat Foot, etc.
  • Mandatory Drug Test (Opioid) and Alcohol Test. Positive results lead to disqualification.

Selection Process:

The final selection is based on a multi-stage process with the following mark distribution:

  1. Stage 1: Physical/Medical Standards Test (Qualifying)
  2. Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 45 Marks
  3. Stage 3: Written Examination – 40 Marks
    • Type: 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
    • Duration: 2 Hours
    • Language: English
    • Syllabus: General Awareness, GK, Science, Indian History, Indian Polity, Maths, Sports, Naga Culture, and Mental Aptitude.
  4. Stage 4: Interview – 10 Marks
    • NCC Certificate Bonus: ‘C’ Certificate (5 Marks), ‘B’ Certificate (3 Marks), ‘A’ Certificate (2 Marks).

Final Merit List

The final selection is based on the aggregate of: PET (45) + Written Test (40) + Interview (10) + NCC Marks (5).

    • Date of Birth Proof (Only Birth Certificate or Matriculation Admit Card)
  4. Pay Application Fee: Pay the ₹300 fee online through the provided payment gateway.
  5. Download Admit Card: Your admit card will be generated upon successful submission. Download and print it immediately.
