Eligibility Criteria for TNSTC Apprentice 1588
Educational Qualification (Must have passed in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025):
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): First Class B.E./B.Tech (Full-time) from a recognized university.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Diploma in Engineering (Full-time) from a recognized board/university.
- General Graduate Apprentices: Degree like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM, BCA (Full-time) from a UGC-approved university.
Age Limit & Reservation:
- Age criteria will be as per the Apprenticeship Rules.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be followed as per the Government of India guidelines. Valid certificates must be provided.

The application process is ONLY through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Portal Access: Go to the official website: https://nats.education.gov.in
- Registration/Login:
- New Users (Category C): Click ‘Student Register’ and complete the enrollment to get a 12-digit Enrollment Number.
- Existing Users (Category A & B): Log in using your registered email and password. If you forgot your password, use the ‘Forgot Password’ option.
- Apply for the Vacancy:
- After logging in, go to “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
- In the search bar, type the name of your preferred region (e.g., “TAMILNADU STATE TRANSPORT CORPORATION VILLUPURAM LTD” or “MTC CHENNAI”).

Selection Process
- Shortlisting will be done by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying degree/diploma.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via their registered email and must appear for Certificate Verification at the TNSTC Trichy Region office in November 2025 (tentatively).
Important Notes
- No Employment Guarantee: Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee a job with TNSTC/MTC/SETC.
- No TA/DA: No travel or accommodation expenses will be provided for the certificate verification.
