Multi-Zone Wise Distribution:
- Multi Zone – I: 50 Posts (38 Direct Recruitment + 12 Limited Recruitment)

Application Fee

Eligibility Criteria
A. Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025):
- Maximum Age: 34 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- Telangana State Govt Employees: Up to 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + length of service
- NCC Instructors: 3 years + length of service
- SCs/STs/BCs/EWS: 5 years
- Orthopaedically Handicapped: 10 years
B. Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B / B.L) from a recognized university in India. Candidates who passed a five-year law course after Intermediate are also eligible.
C. Experience:
- Must have active practice as an Advocate for not less than three (3) years in Criminal Courts in Telangana State.
- Must be a practicing advocate as on the date of the notification (August 15, 2025).
D. Medical Standards:
- Candidates must be of sound health, free from any bodily defect.
- Candidates with impaired speech, hearing, or sight are not eligible. Those who suffer from stammering or stuttering are also ineligible.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Written Examination consisting of two papers:
A. Written Examination:
- Paper-I (Objective Type): 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Paper-II (Descriptive Type): 200 marks, with a focus on Pleading and Drafting.
- Both papers will be set in English only.
- Syllabus: Covers The Constitution of India, CrPC, IPC, Evidence Act, Criminal Rules of Practice, and numerous Central and State Acts (as detailed in the official notification).
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- OC/EWS: 40% in each paper
- BC: 35% in each paper
- SC/ST/OH: 30% in each paper
B. Final Selection:
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in both papers (out of 400).
- Selection will follow the rule of reservation. The first 5% of posts will be filled from a combined merit list, and the remaining 95% will be filled by local candidates only.
