Eligibility 2162 NWR Apprentice Requirement 2025
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: +10 years (additional to service period + 3 years)
2. Educational Qualification
- Passed 10th class (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
Selection Process
- Merit-Based Selection: There is no written exam.
- Merit List Calculation: The merit list will be prepared based on the average of:
- Matriculation (10th) percentage (all subjects).
- ITI marks (as per the final certificate).
- Tie-Breaker: In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If the age is also the same, the candidate who passed the 10th exam earlier will be ranked higher.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for each Division/Unit, Trade, and Community.

- Submit the form and keep a printout for future reference.

Important Notes
- No Job Guarantee: Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee a job in the Indian Railways.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce all original certificates (Educational, Caste, ITI, Medical Fitness, Disability, etc.) for verification.
- Single Application: Submitting more than one application will lead to rejection.
- No Correspondence: The railway administration’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entertained regarding engagement.
- Reservations: Reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are as per government rules. Seats for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are included within the total slots.
