A. Educational Qualification

Essential for Both DoE and NDMC:

1. Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
2. Must have passed Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English as a subject at the Secondary (10th) level.

AND one of the following academic qualifications:

Step 1:

• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks AND
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

Step 2:

• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 45% marks AND
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per NCTE 2002 norms.

Step 3:

• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks AND
• 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Step 4:

• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks AND
• 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Step 5:

• Graduation AND
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

Note for NDMC: A 5% marks relaxation is available for SC/ST candidates in the 12th standard requirement.
